There are a number of strategies that we teach to help novice and sophisticated clients make money by playing both the upside and downside of the financial markets.
As you can see with how fast the markets have been dropping, there is a great deal of money to be made by playing the downside. Stocks generally drop a lot faster than they rise and because our clients have increased their financial intelligence, they don’t have wait for stocks to go up to make money.
The particular strategies you use depend on many factors:
- Are you trading or investing?
- The amount of money you have to invest
- Your risk tolerance
- Your skillset
- Your time horizon
All of these things are important to take into consideration.
For long-term investors, we believe there are ALWAYS great buying opportunities. However, those buying opportunities have to be considered on a case-by-case basis. By increasing your financial intelligence, you will be able to identify the true underlying value of the companies you are investing in.
Once you know how much a company is worth, you can easily answer the question, “Is it time to buy?” Without knowing the true underlying value of the company, you will not know if you are paying too much for the stock.
Once you know a company is trading for less than it is worth, you can use a strategy called dollar-cost averaging to build wealth by investing as little as $25-$50 a month.
As you can see, financial intelligence is as critical to your life as knowing how read or do basic math.
