Cash generated from a company's normal business activities. Investors, lenders, and other financial professionals view OCF as a key indication of risk and how well a company is able to sustain itself without outside financing or having to sell company assets. OCF is reported on a company's Statement of Cash Flow and is calculated as the sum of net income, depreciation, change in accruals, and change in accounts payable, minus change in accounts receivable, minus change in inventories.
